Cecelia Webber uses the human body to construct intricate mosaics depicting the natural world, Flowers to Human. Her art involves the viewer in its form, evoking our complex relationship with the body and nature. Her art has appeared all over the world.
Born in a small village, Cecelia spent much of her childhood outdoors. Her deep appreciation for nature, coupled with her scientific training, give her a deep understanding of organic forms which she draws upon to craft pieces that carry a unique interplay between colours, shapes and model bodies.
In early 2010, Cecelia opened Flowers Series in an exhibition at the Renown Institute's Healing Arts exhibit in Nevada. In 2011, she premiered her Butterflies Series at Barneys NYC. In 2012, she was the guest of honour at the Museo Civico (Museum of Natural History).
Cecilia's art has been the centrepiece of advertising campaigns for clients such as Harrison and Star (New York) and Monier SpA (Italy). Her work appears worldwide in publications such as Vanity Fair (Italy), ELLE (Mexico), The Huffington Post (USA), Duzhe (China), Claudia (Poland), The Sun (UK), and Designboom (international online).
I leave you with these beautiful images, of human bodies transforming into the flower of life, truly exceptional art.
